NERVE SUPPLY

The liver’s nerves travel with the portal triad.

Sympathetic:
Sympathetic fibres from the sympathetic plexus ascend with the hepatic artery to the iver.

Parasympathetic:
The hepatic branches of the anterior vagal trunk run in the lesser omentum to the liver and join the sympathetic fibres.
